When I started this blog some 2.5 years ago I made it a practice
to promote other sites that I found of value and worth you reading time online.
As I found a voice of humor and otherwise nonsense I strayed from that
practice. I now ask you to put on your serious face and read on (aside from the
fact that this involves Alejandro Guzman).
If we simply spew words for the sake of splitting air to
make sound, where are we and what have we accomplished? The written word is the
definition of romanticism, and without it we would not have language,
communication, progress or a future.
We have reached an age where we have come full circle. In
the beginning, history was recorded through the sharing of stories by spoken
tale and then there was language and the printed word. Of the two largest book
sellers in the world [Borders & Barnes & Noble], Borders is now extinct
and B&N is shrinking by attrition. With the advent of virtual books, be it
Kindle, E-Pub, etc., the traditional printed word is vanishing. Where will we
learn from and how will we record the future?
We live in a virtual world…and our knowledge and legacy
depend on a virtual procreation of history.
And so I bring you Blognostics.net. The brainchild of
Jessica Brant and Alejandro Guzman, Blognostics is a repository for the written
word. Poetry, stories, compilations, opinion, what have you. It is a sanctuary
for the written word in a virtual world. So, why can’t this be a primary site
for knowledge? There is no reason if you believe…and contribute.
I have always understood that things like Google, FaceBook,
Twitter etc. all started with a single follower and Blognostics.net is no
different. It is in fact a repository of the written word whether fiction,
poetry or opinion, and will ultimately be a place where people view history.
As a Blognostics member/viewer you not only have the privilege
of being among an elite group, you have a responsibility to broadcast its
relevance and existence. If you are idle in communication, you contribute to
the ignorance and miss-information of your prodigy (WOW, that sounded
important). You stand on the precipice of a phenomenon and why wouldn’t you
grasp it with your last breath and run with it.
Let us leave a legacy of culture, truth, and history from
many points of view. Join Blognostics, support it, promote it, contribute to it
and as a founding member…make it the very best place to be.
If you are a member of Blognistics and you are willing to
leave recorded history to FOX News…quit! You must go now and burn slowly in the
netherworld for all eternity. If you are not…take up your pledge and pronounce
it a place of value.
I’m just saying.

Well said, Ron. If you build it, they will come, but you have to believe in building it first.
JR - Thank you...I do believe (in spite of Alex ;)).. You are a fine example of why we should support the culture and evolution of Blognostics. Be well.
Ron,
It has taken me a few minutes to read this post. I was afraid I would short my key board because tears filled my eyes. I am totally over whelmed by the amount of support and love you have for us....
So enough of this sentimental crap lets rip a new hole in the Universal Shpere called the internet and make room for -------> BlogNostics...
We plan on being a POWER HOUSE (did you hear that Google and FaceBook????)
Loving you Ron will all I have to love another human being.
kisssssssssssss
Jessica Brant
Jessica - Simply...I believe.
Hello there, let me take this opportunity to pull a funny face and Give a huge manly bear hug to a funny, intelligent man. Unfortunately he is not here so a hardy handshake to Ron...
Cheers A
Good promo Ron! I'm a naughty blognosticator. I don't log in there enough... I just keep spewing my opinions at my own site. :P
This is a great review Ron! I for one enjoy being part of the BlogNostics family :)
It takes a lot of drive to fulfill that dream...It requires a strong heart to see it fall but re build.. It takes a lot of endurance due to the long hours...It takes a lot of faith to see it fly...It takes a lot of love for it it to blossom.
The creators have that....
I have been on many sites made specifically for one thing or the other. I was admin for several of them. Blognostics has potential to be huge for writers, poets, bloggers. But, and I will probably upset someone by saying this...
People have to log on to the site. Maybe, I am just the odd one out because when I am there nobody else is. I can take a hint thank you. lol
There has been enormous difficulty with tech issues there. I haven't had any since joining but, people whom I have invited and politely forced into signing up are having trouble. They then decide if it's that much trouble then screw it...game over, buh-bye.
I know I'm not around a lot because I'm so damn famous now (I jest) but, maybe if you could establish a couple times a week with a set time for everyone to come, sign in and chat in a chatroom to get to know each other better or feel like they are accepted, it may help people become more active onsite.
Just a few of my thoughts, I usually charge $50 an hour for them but, today I am running a discounted price for the Thanksgiving holiday. I accept paypal and no just paypal, sorry.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Jenni,
When was the last time you were on the site????
People have to log into BlogNostics Like any other Social Media networking site. It is no different then that of facebook, figment, 21 black street or even myspace. If you want to be apart of the BlogNostics Community ie, use the groups, forums, or communications features that we have, YES they must be logged into BlogNostics.
If a reader comes to the site they can comment just as on any other website/blog in the beginning we set out to make it that one had to be registered to use the site. As with anything that is new and in the process of growing and learning there are challenges along the way that we address and get fixed in a timely manner..
When you or anyone else has alerted BlogNostics to a challenge to the logging in process we have been there for them to set them up.....
We are a small community that has the potential for massive growth and are willing to help anyone who has a challenge getting on to our site.
Yes we have had a few challenges with the site but we address those challenges when they happen and move heaven and earth to fix them in order to make the site more user friendly.
Please tell me one Social Media site that you are on other then facebook who has not had major technical challenges in the beginning and by the beginning I mean the initial stages of the site ????
You may not be aware that BlogNostics is growing faster then we can keep up with. Our stats are off the charts for a site that has only been open to the public for less then 4 months.
the statement for BogNostics "to establish a couple times a week with a set time for everyone to come, sign in and chat in a chatroom to get to know each other better or feel like they are accepted" is absurd!!!!!
Does Facebook get there peeps together every time they make a new changes to their interface. No we go in there and piddle around and figure it out for ourselves.
I thank you for you constructive criticism but next time put it in an email.
