The voice on the picture box said,”I know you are watching this because you want to get started using the AB-Doer (crunching, exercise, weight loss, expensive machine thingy) because you are ready to get fit!”
I glanced at the TV not at all interested and replied out loud, “No…I am watching you because I would have to reach over my cream cheese bagel and coffee to get to the remote to change the channel…and that seems like too much work.” I hit the mute button, ate my bagel and turned the sound up when the news came on.

Their marketing doesn't really make much sense to me. If you are getting up really early to plop down at the tv, what makes them think you want to change your ways? :) Love the post. Enjoy that yummy bagel, great coffee, and relaxation. I, too, am a morning person.
Commercials. Ew.
Hi FourJedis - I know you are a runner...me, not so much. I do excersise daily, just not at 5:30AM and especially when a bagel is an alternative :)
Simon - I agree...commercials, ew! That's why I watch very little TV :)
Be well,
Ron
Well, caffeine gets the heart pumping, and all the infomercials tell me that getting the heart rate up is key to a healthy heart...sooo in a way you were getting your exercise on! ;-)
Hey Lisa - :) Like I said, I do exercise every day...just not at 5:30AM...then I am pretty laid back [lazy] :)
Ron
Ron, seriously, considering how lethal you are to your clean clothing...probably a good thing you didn't reach for the set! =)
And I'm REALLY glad to hear that my household isn't the only one that talks back to the TV. However, the fact that *I* talk back to the TV can be directly correlated to the husband him, from whom I have apparently gleaned this particular talent!
On a side note, should you ever hear a rumor that I have started standing when I pee...you might seriously call in the jacket fitters! =)
Has anyone called you a "numpty" today? LOLOL
Hi Jewell - Glad you are back. I hope all is well with your eye surgery and recovery.
I watch very little television, but when I do, I have regular conversations with it. I do a lot of color comentary when the news is on :)
Be well,
Ron
I enjoyed your humorous post about viewing infomercials in the early morning hours. It does seem like even the thought of doing exercise early on a Sunday morning is a "stretch" for a lot of people (pun intended). Thanks for the laugh.
